O.C.I.A. (Order of Christian Initiation for Adults) is for those Adults over the age of 18 who are either not baptized or baptized in another faith who are discerning the Catholic Religion.  If they so choose, they will be baptized, will be Fully Initiated, into the Catholic Faith.
 
These formation classes can also be used for those who are 17 and above who were baptized in the Catholic Faith, but never received their First Communion and/or Confirmation.  They would receive these Sacraments with the youth confirmation class this year with Bishop Berg presiding.  (Date and place to be determined.)
 
The Formation is in two 10 week sessions.  First session is the history and theology of the Catholic Faith. The Second Session focuses on the Sacraments of the Catholic Faith.  (Baptism, Holy Eucharist, Confirmation, Reconciliation, Marriage, Holy Orders, Anointing).  We will be using the program Symbolon from the Augustine Institute for our instructions.
