Rev. Korb

1926 - 1927

Father Joseph Alphonse Korb was born December 27, 1892. He was ordained May 25, 1918 at the Pontifical College Josephinum, in Worthington, Michigan. He served at the Cathedral Parish of Marquette, Michigan for two years before contracting a lung disease which necessitated his transfer to the West.

According to Father Hickey's book, Father Korb was only in Fruita for two short months. His last assignment, which lasted for over 20 years. was pastor of St. Andrew's Church in Wray, Colorado.

Father Korb died on March 16, 1976 in Golden, Colorado.
